eat, pray, love.

i love when you put it out there
that you are in need,
life sends you signs...
yesterday, my sign was Ganesh.

Ganesh is the bestower of luck,
the remover of obstacles
and the god of safe travels.

i have read eat, pray, love twice.
i cook and eat italian food on a regular basis,
try to meditate {try}, practice yoga regularly
and spend most of my time in love with being in love
{if you follow my blog, you know that i am crazy in love with L.O.V.E}.

the past few days, i let some anxieties creep in to my head
and was feeling unbalanced, i exercised, prayed, and ate...
but, still wasn't seeing 'the light' so to speak...

i had promised my daughter for weeks that i would take her to see
eat, pray, love.
yesterday, she had the day off of school, so we made a plan.
first, we had a delicious, vegetarian, indian lunch
{knowing we would be craving indian food while watching the movie},
then watched the movie, followed by
a homemade italian dinner.
it was a perfect day.

what made it even more perfect
were the signs...

first, in the movie, julia roberts sees Ganesh statues, inquirers about them, only to be told that Ganesh is the remover of obstacles...sign #1
{i made a metal note to get my Ganesh charm out when I returned home and put it on}...but, then, i forgot all about it...

then, hours later, after watching America's Next Top Model, we switched to L.A. Ink, first thing i see is Kat tattooing a gorgeous Ganesh on someone...sign #2

i immediately went to my jewelry box,
pulled out the soft, red suede cord
with the gilded Ganesh charm
and wrapped it around my wrist...

Ganesh is there to remind me,
that although there are always
going to be obstacles in my life,
there will also
always be faith....
faith in a new day.
faith in hope.
faith in possibilities.

today, i feel balanced.
