Just breathe.

"Prayer is when you talk to GOD,
meditation is when GOD talks to you."

Meditating makes me want to sit with myself.
Meditation calms my over-thinker mind.
Meditation helps me think differently.

I have been meditating for over thirty days now.
I started with ten minutes per day,
and now find myself meditating
anywhere from
ten to forty minutes a day. Sometimes twice a day.

I have to say for a girl who has a hard time sitting still,
meditation has truly made me open
to a lot of new thoughts and feelings
about a lot of the fear-based thinking
that I am used to.

"Don't believe everything you think."

I am currently mediating with Headspace
{ I signed up for a year }
and I'm also doing the
YouTube meditations with Kelsey J. Patel.
I particularly love this one and I'm also taking her Reiki 101 class.

As with any new thing that I get into,
I love to look here and here
for more information and I also loved this post
{ which lead to this post }.

If you're not already meditating, I hope you'll join me.

6 Ways to Transform Fear into Love.

We all want more love in our lives—and I don’t just mean romantic love. That can be nice, but love comes in all forms. The thing that most often keeps us from getting the love we want is fear. You may be worried about your career, your family, or the state of the world affairs. So, to help you turn your worries into something more productive, here's a powerful list of things you can do to move from fear into love.
The first step to healing is becoming aware of our fear. Once we are aware, we can see how it prevents us from moving forward. Then, we can reject our fear-based thoughts and reconnect with the loving guidance within.
Instead of focusing on what you fear, or replaying a negative outcome, turn your attention to the good around you.
Here are six essential ways to attract more positivity and love into your life:

1. Focus on the good.

We all just want to be seen, heard, and appreciated. One of the most loving things you can do is provide a safe place for someone to speak their own truth. You don’t need to judge them or try to convince them of anything. just be present. This support will engender more loving interactions.
2. Feel your feelings.
A powerful way to attract more positivity is to embrace whatever emotions you have. Embrace them, but master them. Don't let them master you. Acknowledging your own feelings is more important than trying to get others to feel them, too. So process your emotions and let other people process theirs—in their own ways.

3. Try to understand what you fear.

The truth is, people are terrified of what they don’t understand. Instead of lashing out at what frightens you, seek to understand it. Ask yourself why you're so afraid of certain things. What do those things really represent? What does this say about the wounds in you that need to be addressed? What does this reveal about your faith and your place in the world? There are no wrong answers. There is simply the truth within. But seeking to learn more about what scares you is the path to love and peace.

4. Ask what you can give, not what you can get.

Instead of fighting hate with more hate, can you make positive change with love? Rage and verbal abuse will not solve your dilemma, but only create further separation. This is a perfect time to get involved with organizations you believe in, share more of your true self with loved ones, and open up instead of isolating yourself.

5. Commit to staying open-minded.

When you are afraid, you close yourself off to loving outcomes. Use this time to practice surrender and to deepen your faith in the bigger picture. From a spiritual perspective, everything is always in right order. If you can’t accept what is, you work to change it. But do so with grace, love, and intention.

6. Radiate love.

This should not be a time of separation. It is an opportunity for community and collaboration. This can be as simple as closing your eyes, thinking of a certain person, and sending them love. Now, more than ever, we need each other. Despite our different beliefs and opinions, we all need love. We can rise above our differences and be the light for one another by letting love in.
The outside world is a reflection of our internal state. Instead of pointing the finger, being a victim, or passing judgment, seek to learn about the pain you are carrying within yourself. What part of you feels unheard, unloved, or misunderstood? Seek to show yourself the love you may not be finding in the world and, sooner than later, you will see your world begin to transform.
Love is the way—it is the only way. Let love guide you.

I'm bringin' shark teeth back {yeah}.

I'm bringin' shark teeth back {yeah}

I've been wearing
my shark tooth
necklace for years.

I think it's so strong and sexy.

It makes me feel strong and sexy and I promise,
it will make you feel the same way, too.
That's why for over five years now,
I've brought the shark tooth back.

This season, I'm adding the
gold crescent pendant to
TenThings delicate collection.

It's the same crescent
I've used in past summer seasons
on chains and bracelets.

This season, I love the simple elegance of it
on this 24" long, gold beaded chain.

Again, I think it's
strong and sexy.

and I think you are, too.

Although, I tend to stick with the same colors,
season after season,
similar gemstones,
and a similar, overall, Boho vibe,

I do like to change it up a bit
and still circle back around
to my long-time favorites.

I love beautiful wood beads, gemstones,
and tassels.

And gold.

I'm a gold girl.

Every collection will always
have a little bit of previous seasons.

I think that's what
makes TenThings so special.

New 2017 SS Collection available here.

Here's a look back at
February 2013 SS Collection
same pretty
ocean-inspired feeling,
and even a turquoise tassel.

I still love this old collection.
It's funny how your
past inspires your future.

I'm bringin' sexy back {yeah}.

Statement earrings to start.

I'm so excited to work on
my summer collection
despite the {freezing} cold weather
we're currently having
here in
Southern California.
{where they say it never rains, seriously!?!}

First off,
statement earrings.

These gorgeous beaded tassel earrings are making me crave
bare shoulders
and pinned up,

and then there's rich and creamy {dreamy},
boho chic, long, bone necklaces.
I can't choose a favorite, I love them all.

oh, and

and lastly,
business cards in
Well, just because ...

doesn't everyone love cabana stripes?
They are the epitome of
summer, aren't they?

Is it summer yet?

It's the last week of January,
my back yard is flooded,
I have to wear a sweater every day
because it's as cold as it gets
here in Southern California,
I'm drinking coffee and tea by the gallon,
and I haven't used my blender in months.

All I've been doing is
daydreaming about

s u m m e r

summer clothes,

summer meals,

summer nights,

New year. New vibes.

Harper's Topiary Garden in San Diego. #mustsee

The holidays were amazingly busy and fun.
I spent tons of time with my beautiful family,
ate way too much super good food
and just really took in all the
love and joy of the season.

I loved every minute of it!
... but, somehow, I'm always really happy when it's all over
and always really ready to start the new year fresh.
You, too?

Like everyone else, I have huge plans for this year,
some are last year's goals that still need to be carried forward
with a new shot of enthusiasm
and some are new ideas and practices
that I can't wait to implement.

A beautiful San Diego home with must-have security guards.

I hope you'll continue to stop by once in awhile,
I'm going to try again this year
to be a more frequent blogger,
and if you're interested,
you can sign up for my newsletter here.

I hope to share the latest happenings,
news and discount codes, again,
hopefully on a somewhat frequent basis.
It won't all be about my love for making jewelry,
I plan to share some of my
favorite things, places, and people
{animals} that I come across along the way.

This guy made me laugh out loud.

I'm not setting any carved-in-stone goals for myself,
I don't want to disappoint or get discouraged,
I just plan to be more

M I N D F U L

and grateful overall, and with that I hope
to continue to share, and hopefully,
inspire you, my friends, much like you do me.
