it' so true. beauty is everywhere.
even in the simplest form it can be stunning.
or unexpected;
like like these edgy leather bracelets with skulls.
or in this pretty reminder to live in the sunshine.
swim the sea, drink the wild air

or take a walk.
we take a walk every night after dinner.
the same block or two. the same two people. the same dog.
but, we find lots of beauty.
we decide on our route. hush each other while we steal a few figs
off the corner house's tree to later melt with brie and serve with crackers,
we stop and hold hands and admire a ruffled, soft pink rose.

the dog investigates the same bush the 100th day in a row.
the same thing, day in and day out, but it's one of my favorite times of the day, i think,
because we stop to take in the unexpected beauty that surrounds us.
